Stumpboi12’s winning team was built around flexible speed control and immediate damage. Whimsicott gave the team a clean Tailwind mode with Focus Sash, Prankster, Tailwind, Encore, Moonblast, and Protect, letting the rest of the roster pressure quickly without needing setup turns. Charizard carried Charizardite Y with Heat Wave, Solar Beam, Scorching Sands, and Protect, providing strong spread pressure alongside coverage into common defensive pivots.
The rest of the team backed that fast mode with multiple forms of physical pressure. Kingambit used Black Glasses, Defiant, Sucker Punch, Kowtow Cleave, Iron Head, and Protect, giving Stumpboi12 both priority and a way to punish stat drops. Garchomp was Choice Scarf with Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Rock Slide, and Stomping Tantrum, adding another fast attacker that could threaten spread damage. Eternal Flower Floette brought Floettite with Light of Ruin, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, and Protect, while Basculegion used Life Orb, Adaptability, Wave Crash, Aqua Jet, Protect, and Last Respects. Between Tailwind, Choice Scarf, Sucker Punch, and Aqua Jet, the team had several ways to keep attacking first.
Across the top teams, Fairy-type damage stood out. Stumpboi12 used Eternal Flower Floette, while JogadorZero and BrazBR both brought Sylveon with Fairy Feather, Pixilate, Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, Quick Attack, and a defensive move, with JogadorZero choosing Protect and BrazBR choosing Detect. Kingambit also appeared on the champion’s team and on BrazBR’s third-place team, both using Defiant and Sucker Punch, though Stumpboi12 chose Black Glasses while BrazBR used Life Orb with Swords Dance.
Speed control was another clear theme. Whimsicott, Staraptor, and Talonflame all carried Tailwind in the top four, while JogadorZero’s team added Icy Wind on Milotic and a Sand Rush Excadrill next to Tyranitar. Raichu with Raichunite Y appeared on both BrazBR and Mariganos, and Focus Sash showed up repeatedly on key support or pressure pieces, including Whimsicott, Excadrill, Hisuian Arcanine, and Weavile.
Takeaway for ladder players: pair proactive speed control with priority and high-output attackers, because the top Regulation Set M-B teams here rarely relied on only one way to move first.
