Place Player Record Team
1 RyukeiVGC [IT] 8-1-0 Venusaur, Swampert, Pelipper, Grimmsnarl, Archaludon, Charizard
2 Pro4tomico [IT] 6-3-0 Charizard, Grimmsnarl, Pelipper, Archaludon, Venusaur, Swampert
3 Soraxjm [US] 6-2-0 Raichu, Staraptor, Farigiraf, Kingambit, Sylveon, Hisuian Arcanine
4 HarodTheOne [DE] 5-3-0 Garchomp, Incineroar, Kingambit, Sneasler, Eternal Flower Floette, Sinistcha

RyukeiVGC’s winning team is a compact weather-and-screens structure with several direct ways to control tempo. Pelipper gives the team Drizzle, Tailwind, and Wide Guard, while also carrying Sitrus Berry and a Modest attacking set with Weather Ball and Hurricane. That supports both immediate pressure and defensive positioning.

The second major support piece is Grimmsnarl with Light Clay, Prankster, Reflect, Light Screen, and Parting Shot. Between screens, Parting Shot, Pelipper’s speed control, and Wide Guard, the team has multiple ways to buy turns for its stronger attackers.

The offensive core is flexible. Swampert with Swampertite brings Wave Crash, High Horsepower, and Ice Punch, giving RyukeiVGC broad physical coverage. Archaludon uses Leftovers and Stamina with Electro Shot, Dragon Pulse, Flash Cannon, and Protect, fitting naturally as a bulky special attacker that benefits from the team’s support turns. Charizard with Charizardite Y adds Modest spread pressure through Heat Wave and extra weather utility through Weather Ball, while Venusaur rounds things out with Focus Sash, Chlorophyll, Sleep Powder, Sludge Bomb, and Leaf Storm. The Venusaur slot is especially important because Sleep Powder forces opponents to respect disruption instead of only trading damage.

The clearest metagame note is that the top two teams used the same six Pokemon: Charizard, Grimmsnarl, Pelipper, Archaludon, Venusaur, and Swampert. Their sets were also extremely close, with repeated items including Charizardite Y, Light Clay, Sitrus Berry, Leftovers, Focus Sash, and Swampertite. The main Venusaur coverage difference was Leaf Storm for RyukeiVGC and Earth Power for Pro4tomico.

Beyond that mirror core, Kingambit appeared on Soraxjm, HarodTheOne, and Zero_D_Tempest teams, with Defiant, Adamant, and Sucker Punch showing up repeatedly. Sneasler was also present on HarodTheOne, dartsvgc, and Taengerine teams, commonly providing Fake Out and Close Combat pressure. Focus Sash was widespread across the standings, appearing on Venusaur, Hisuian Arcanine, Sneasler, Glimmora, and Excadrill among the top eight.

Ladder takeaway: prepare for Pelipper plus screens structures, and make sure your team has a concrete plan into Focus Sash disruption and Kingambit endgames.
