João Marcos’s first-place team was built around flexible speed control and a clear sand mode. Tyranitar with Tyranitarite and Sand Stream paired with Focus Sash Excadrill and Sand Rush gives the team a direct fast mode, backed by Rock Slide pressure from both Pokemon. Excadrill’s High Horsepower and Iron Head also give the composition clean single-target damage when spread moves are not ideal.

The other half of the team leans into Trick Room. Sinistcha and Farigiraf both carried Trick Room, giving João Marcos multiple ways to reverse speed control or play a slower game. Sinistcha’s Occa Berry, Hospitality, Rage Powder, Matcha Gotcha, and Protect made it a key support piece, while Farigiraf added Armor Tail, Helping Hand, Psychic, Thunderbolt, and Sitrus Berry. That combination gives the team redirection, healing, priority control, and damage amplification without forcing it into only one pace.

Skeledirge and Primarina rounded out the structure with bulky special pressure.
