JackG’s winning team stands out for how many different pacing tools it compresses into one composition. Raichu with Raichunite Y, Lightning Rod, Fake Out, Zap Cannon, Grass Knot, and Protect gives the team immediate disruption and positioning support. Staraptor adds Staraptite, Intimidate, Tailwind, and direct damage through Brave Bird and Close Combat, making it the clearest fast-mode enabler.
The slower mode is just as important. Farigiraf carries Twisted Spoon with Armor Tail, Psychic, Helping Hand, Trick Room, and Protect, giving JackG a way to reverse speed control while also protecting partners from priority interaction through Armor Tail. Primarina, with Sitrus Berry, Liquid Voice, Hyper Voice, Moonblast, Calm Mind, and Protect, provides a bulky special attacker that can take advantage of either Tailwind or Trick Room depending on the board state.
Ceruledge gives the team a physical setup angle with Colbur Berry, Flash Fire, Bitter Blade, Shadow Sneak, Bulk Up, and Protect. Alolan Ninetales rounds the six out with Focus Sash, Snow Warning, Blizzard, Freeze-Dry, Snowscape, and Protect, adding weather pressure and another special attacker with immediate spread threat. The result is a team that is not locked into one plan: it can Fake Out and Tailwind, set Trick Room with Armor Tail support, or lean into setup with Calm Mind and Bulk Up.
Across the top teams, Farigiraf was one of the most visible support Pokemon, appearing on JackG, JanniB, chacey, and Pelopunki. Armor Tail plus Trick Room was a repeated structure, though the exact items and moves varied. Incineroar was also heavily represented, appearing on Thegame, Hootie, chacey, JayoticNL, and Elektrosteff, usually combining Intimidate with Fake Out and Parting Shot or another utility move.
There were also clear item patterns. Sitrus Berry appeared on JackG’s Primarina, Thegame’s Incineroar, Hootie’s Politoed, JanniB’s Farigiraf, chacey’s Farigiraf, Pelopunki’s Farigiraf, JayoticNL’s Incineroar, and Elektrosteff’s Politoed. Focus Sash was another common stabilizer, seen on Alolan Ninetales, Vivillon, Hisuian Arcanine, Kingambit, and Sneasler among the top eight.
A notable duplicate archetype appeared between Hootie and Elektrosteff, both using Gengar, Swampert, Incineroar, Politoed, Archaludon, and Vivillon with very similar cores built around Gengarite, Swampertite, Drizzle Politoed, Stamina Archaludon, and Focus Sash Vivillon.
Takeaway for ladder players: build with at least two speed plans and enough Fake Out, Armor Tail, or Focus Sash support to make those plans reliable.
