Drwildy’s winning team combined several forms of pressure rather than leaning on one narrow mode. Scrafty held Scraftinite with Intimidate and carried Knock Off, Drain Punch, Fake Out, and Detect, giving the team immediate disruption plus a durable physical attacker. Ceruledge used Colbur Berry, Flash Fire, Adamant, Bitter Blade, Shadow Sneak, Bulk Up, and Protect, which fit well as a setup threat that still had priority and recovery through Bitter Blade.
The defensive backbone was clear. Toxapex brought Leftovers, Regenerator, Bold, Infestation, Toxic, Wide Guard, and Baneful Bunker, giving Drwildy trapping, poison pressure, and a way to block spread attacks. That paired with Garchomp’s Life Orb, Rough Skin, Jolly set of Earthquake, Stomping Tantrum, Dragon Claw, and Protect for direct physical damage. Vanilluxe added Choice Scarf Snow Warning with Blizzard, Freeze-Dry, Icy Wind, and Sheer Cold, while Sylveon supplied Fairy Feather Pixilate Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, Calm Mind, and Detect. The result was a team that could slow games down with Toxapex or quickly punish openings with Garchomp, Sylveon, and Vanilluxe.
Across the top teams, Garchomp was one of the clearest repeats. Drwildy, Y0SHY, Promkip, and ShadySteph1997 all used Garchomp with Life Orb, Rough Skin, and Jolly, with Dragon Claw and Protect appearing on each of those sets. Sylveon was also prominent: Drwildy, FrostyDog69, Y0SHY, and Youseebeeoh all brought it, and Fairy Feather showed up on the first, second, and fourth-place teams.
Sun structures were also common near the top. FrostyDog69 used Torkoal with Drought alongside Pyroar holding Pyroarite, while Y0SHY, Promkip, Youseebeeoh, and ShadySteph1997 all had Charizard with Charizardite Y. Farigiraf appeared on FrostyDog69, Y0SHY, and Youseebeeoh, each with Sitrus Berry and Armor Tail, reinforcing how valuable Trick Room support and priority control were in this field. Incineroar remained present as well, appearing on the second and third-place teams with Intimidate and Fake Out.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for flexible weather teams, Life Orb Garchomp, Fairy Feather Sylveon, and Armor Tail Farigiraf when building for Regulation Set M-B.
