Arnauz10’s winning team was built around flexible weather pressure. Charizard with Charizardite Y, Blaze, and Modest had the expected sun package of Protect, Heat Wave, Weather Ball, and Solar Beam, while Pelipper brought Drizzle, Tailwind, Wide Guard, Hurricane, and Weather Ball. That gave the team access to both sun and rain modes without relying on a single weather plan.
The support core was also clear. Grimmsnarl used Light Clay with Prankster, Spirit Break, Reflect, Light Screen, and Parting Shot, giving the team layered damage control. Archaludon with Leftovers and Stamina took advantage of longer games with Protect, Electro Shot, Dragon Pulse, and Flash Cannon. Basculegion added immediate speed with Choice Scarf, Adaptability, Jolly, Flip Turn, Wave Crash, Aqua Jet, and Last Respects. Venusaur rounded out the roster as the sun abuser, holding Focus Sash with Chlorophyll and carrying Protect, Sleep Powder, Sludge Bomb, and Earth Power.
The most obvious trend at the top was Charizard. Every top-four team used Charizard with Charizardite Y, and three of those Charizard sets shared Blaze and Modest with Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Solar Beam, and Protect. Mindless_99’s Charizard differed with Solar Power and Timid, but still carried the same four attacks.
Basculegion also stood out in the finals. Both Arnauz10 and Mindless_99 used Choice Scarf, Adaptability, Jolly Basculegion with Wave Crash, Flip Turn, and Last Respects. Mindless_99 added Icy Wind, while Arnauz10 used Aqua Jet. Garchomp was another major top-four presence, appearing on Mindless_99, gonzalohdezVGC, and 138mysx, always with Life Orb, Rough Skin, and Jolly. Earthquake, Dragon Claw, Stomping Tantrum, and Protect were common pieces across those builds.
The third- and fourth-place teams were especially similar: both used Charizard, Aerodactyl, Garchomp, Sylveon, and Kingambit. Sylveon appeared with Fairy Feather, Pixilate, Modest, Hyper Beam, Hyper Voice, Quick Attack, and Detect on both teams, while Kingambit supplied Defiant priority pressure through Sucker Punch alongside Kowtow Cleave and Iron Head.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Charizardite Y teams that can pair weather offense with either fast Choice Scarf Basculegion pressure or Life Orb Garchomp balance.
