LenVGC’s winning team was built around a dense support core enabling two major special attackers. Incineroar brought the standard Intimidate package with Sitrus Berry, Fake Out, Flare Blitz, Darkest Lariat, and Parting Shot, giving the team positioning and damage control. Maushold added Friend Guard, Follow Me, Feint, Super Fang, and Protect, while Sinistcha offered Hospitality, Rage Powder, Life Dew, Matcha Gotcha, and Protect. Together, Maushold and Sinistcha made it difficult for opponents to target cleanly into LenVGC’s setup and damage slots.
The most direct payoff came from Blastoise and Delphox. Blastoise carried Blastoisinite with Water Spout, Dark Pulse, Shell Smash, and Protect, giving the team a threatening setup route that could pressure both damage and speed dynamics once supported. Delphox used Delphoxite with Heat Wave, Psychic, Nasty Plot, and Protect, adding another setup angle and spread pressure. Sneasler rounded out the six with Focus Sash, Poison Touch, Fake Out, Close Combat, Poison Jab, and Quick Guard, stacking yet another Fake Out user while also covering priority interaction through Quick Guard.
Across the top tables, Incineroar remained one of the clearest repeated pieces. It appeared on the champion’s team, Florens44’s runner-up team, and also in several other top-eight finishes, usually combining Intimidate, Fake Out, and Parting Shot. Sitrus Berry was also highly visible, showing up on LenVGC’s Incineroar, Florens44’s Incineroar, darxzy’s Farigiraf, imstone’s Pelipper, Davibay’s Incineroar, Pokachu’s Politoed, and M_rada’s Incineroar.
Focus Sash was another major item trend, attached to Sneasler, Whimsicott, Kingambit, Venusaur, Annihilape, Vivillon, Hisuian Arcanine, and Scrafty among the listed top teams. Speed control was similarly varied: Whimsicott and Aerodactyl used Tailwind, Farigiraf provided Trick Room, and Pelipper also carried Tailwind. Weather cores were prominent as well, with Charizard holding Charizardite Y on darxzy, imstone, and Davibay, while imstone paired sun pressure with Pelipper, Archaludon, Venusaur, and Swampert.
Takeaway for ladder players: LenVGC’s result shows how strong layered redirection, Fake Out pressure, and multiple setup attackers can be when the support pieces all contribute to positioning.
