Sooner’s winning team was built around direct pressure, priority, and flexible speed control. Eternal Flower Floette held Floettite with Flower Veil and a Modest spread, carrying Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, Light of Ruin, and Protect. That gave the team a strong Fairy-type damage source that did not need much setup to contribute.

Whimsicott supplied the main pace-setting tool with Focus Sash, Prankster, Tailwind, Moonblast, Encore, and Protect. Tailwind enabled the rest of the team’s aggressive pieces, while Encore punished passive turns. Hisuian Arcanine was the clearest high-damage physical attacker, using Life Orb with Rock Head, Head Smash, Flare Blitz, Extreme Speed, and Protect. Basculegion added another fast attacker with Choice Scarf, Adaptability, Wave Crash, Last Respects, Aqua Jet, and Flip Turn, giving Sooner both immediate Water pressure and a way to keep momentum.

The back end of the roster also stacked priority and late-game damage. Kingambit ran Black Glasses with Defiant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Iron Head, and Protect, while Dragonite used Dragon Fang with Inner Focus, Dragon Claw, Extreme Speed, Low Kick, and Protect. Between Sucker Punch, Extreme Speed, and Aqua Jet, Sooner’s team could still threaten KOs even outside Tailwind.

Across the top four, Kingambit was the defining common piece, appearing on every team. The sets varied by item and fourth move: Sooner and GamerDzha used Black Glasses, EcoMcC used Focus Sash, and Tabs11 used Chople Berry. Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, and Iron Head appeared on all four Kingambit sets, showing how consistent that core package was in this event.

Basculegion also remained prominent, appearing on Sooner’s and Tabs11’s top-four teams, with more copies just outside the top four on OshawottMasterPaolo, Sleiny, and LiamJVGC. Garchomp appeared on EcoMcC and Tabs11 in the top four, then again on OshawottMasterPaolo, Sleiny, and LiamJVGC. Focus Sash was another repeated item, used by Whimsicott, Kingambit, Sneasler, Pelipper, and Maushold across the listed standings.

The top teams showed multiple speed plans rather than one dominant mode: Whimsicott Tailwind, Aerodactyl Tailwind, Dragonite Tailwind, Farigiraf Trick Room, and Sinistcha Trick Room all appeared in the top four.

Ladder takeaway: build with a clear answer to Kingambit, priority-heavy endgames, and Tailwind pressure.
