ComboKage’s winning six had a clear mix of early disruption, pivoting, and multiple endgame routes. Meowscarada held Choice Scarf with Protean and Jolly, giving the team fast access to Flower Trick, Triple Axel, Knock Off, and U-turn. That pairs naturally with Focus Sash Garchomp, which supplied Stealth Rock while also carrying Earthquake, Rock Tomb, and Dragon Tail for chip, speed control, and phazing.
The middle of the team gave ComboKage both staying power and punishment for passive turns. Primarina used Sitrus Berry with Moonblast, Sparkling Aria, Aqua Jet, and Encore, making it more than just a damage dealer. Gholdengo was a slower win condition with Leftovers, Good as Gold, Nasty Plot, Recover, Shadow Ball, and Make It Rain. Between Encore, Knock Off, Stealth Rock, and Dragon Tail, the team had several ways to turn defensive or setup attempts into progress.
The two Mega slots listed on the winning team were both offensive pressure pieces. Blaziken carried Blazikenite with Speed Boost, Adamant, Swords Dance, Protect, Flare Blitz, and Close Combat, giving ComboKage a direct setup sweeper. Staraptor used Staraptite with Intimidate, Jolly, Close Combat, Brave Bird, Roost, and Protect, adding immediate physical pressure while retaining defensive utility through Intimidate and Roost.
Across the top teams, Staraptor was the most visible shared pick near the top. ComboKage, Ryuugo, and Panicv1 all used Staraptor with Staraptite, Intimidate, Jolly, Close Combat, Brave Bird, and Roost somewhere in the set. Garchomp also appeared on both the champion’s team and Panicv1’s team, though with different items and roles: Focus Sash support for ComboKage, Sitrus Berry attacks with Protect for Panicv1.
Toxapex was another repeated defensive presence, appearing on Ryuugo and Panicv1 with Leftovers, Regenerator, Toxic, Infestation, and Baneful Bunker. Annihilape appeared on both Panicv1 and anoop3006, each using Bulk Up, Drain Punch, and Rage Fist with different items and abilities. Item-wise, Leftovers and Sitrus Berry were common across the upper standings, while offensive teams continued to lean on Mega items such as Blazikenite, Staraptite, Scovillainite, Starminite, and Glimmoranite.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Staraptite Staraptor cores, and make sure your team can handle both hazard pressure and late-game setup from picks like Blaziken and Gholdengo.
