Noktuska’s winning team was built around layered weather pressure and solid defensive control. Pelipper provided Drizzle, Tailwind, Wide Guard, and immediate special pressure with Weather Ball and Hurricane. That gave the team a clear speed-control option while also enabling Basculegion to threaten with Choice Scarf, Adaptability, Wave Crash, Last Respects, Flip Turn, and Aqua Jet.
The second weather angle came from Charizard holding Charizardite Y, paired with Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Solar Beam, and Protect. Venusaur also fit cleanly into that plan with Venusaurite, Chlorophyll, Sleep Powder, Giga Drain, Sludge Bomb, and Earth Power. Between Pelipper, Charizard, and Venusaur, Noktuska could pressure different defensive profiles without relying on one linear mode.
Archaludon gave the team a sturdier mid-game piece with Leftovers, Stamina, Electro Shot, Dragon Pulse, Flash Cannon, and Protect. Grimmsnarl rounded out the structure with Light Clay, Prankster, Reflect, Light Screen, Parting Shot, and Spirit Break, making it harder for opponents to convert early damage into quick knockouts. The overall composition combined speed control, weather offense, screens, and a late-game Basculegion plan.
Across the top standings, Basculegion was the clearest trend. It appeared on each of the top five teams, always with Adaptability, and every version carried Last Respects and Aqua Jet. The item choices varied: Choice Scarf for Noktuska and SuperDialga, Focus Sash for Capu, and Mystic Water for RoiRehh and Managayo_Akkolon.
Several top teams also leaned on familiar support items. Focus Sash appeared on Whimsicott, Basculegion, Lycanroc Dusk, Kingambit, Vileplume, Annihilape, and Ceruledge across the listed top eight. Sitrus Berry was used by Pelipper, Hisuian Arcanine, Farigiraf, and Incineroar. The top eight showed a split between fast weather pressure, Trick Room-style structures with Farigiraf, Camerupt, Sylveon, Blastoise, and Torkoal, and priority-heavy physical teams built around Basculegion, Kingambit, Dragonite, Aegislash, and Lycanroc Dusk.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare seriously for Adaptability Basculegion endgames, because the top cut-level teams repeatedly used it as a central win condition.
