Jahim64’s winning team was built around a very direct Pelipper core. Pelipper carried Focus Sash with Drizzle and Tailwind, giving the team both weather activation and speed control while still threatening with Weather Ball and Hurricane. From there, the team had multiple ways to convert tempo into damage. Choice Scarf Basculegion with Adaptability supplied fast pressure through Last Respects, Wave Crash, Aqua Jet, and Flip Turn, while Swampert with Swampertite gave the team a second major physical attacker with Wave Crash, Earthquake, and Ice Punch.
The rest of the roster kept the pressure from becoming one-dimensional. Starmie with Starminite used a fully physical set of Liquidation, Psycho Cut, Ice Spinner, and Protect, giving Jahim64 another Mega option alongside Swampert. Primarina added a special attacking angle with Sitrus Berry, Liquid Voice, Moonblast, Hyper Voice, Energy Ball, and Protect. Hisuian Samurott rounded out the offense with Life Orb and Sharpness, using Night Slash, Aqua Cutter, Sacred Sword, and Sucker Punch. Between Choice Scarf speed, Tailwind, Aqua Jet, Sucker Punch, and several Protect users, the team had enough pacing tools to play both aggressively and positionally.
The runner-up team from OshawottMasterPaolo shared several of the same core ideas.
