DonVGC’s winning team was built around flexible speed control, redirection, weather pressure, and a very direct late-game plan. Choice Scarf Basculegion with Adaptability gave the team an immediate fast attacker, with Last Respects as the obvious closer and Aqua Jet offering priority when the game state required it. Flip Turn also fit the team’s pivot-heavy structure, especially alongside Incineroar’s Fake Out and Parting Shot.
Politoed supplied Drizzle and a slower, stabilizing presence with Leftovers, Protect, Weather Ball, Perish Song, and Ice Beam. That set gave DonVGC both damage and a way to pressure endgames without needing to overextend. Sinistcha added an important support layer: Trick Room, Rage Powder, Matcha Gotcha, and Life Dew let the team change tempo, redirect attacks, and recover through longer positions. Kasib Berry also gave Sinistcha a specific defensive item choice while it performed those support roles.
The offensive coverage was rounded out by Charizard and Eternal Flower Floette. Charizard carried Charizardite Y with Protect, Solar Beam, Weather Ball, and Heat Wave, giving DonVGC spread damage and coverage that paired naturally with a weather-based structure. Eternal Flower Floette with Floettite, Flower Veil, Calm Mind, Draining Kiss, Dazzling Gleam, and Protect was another key win condition, capable of playing protected setup turns while still contributing spread Fairy damage. Incineroar completed the six with the familiar combination of Intimidate, Fake Out, Sitrus Berry, Flare Blitz, Darkest Lariat, and Parting Shot.
Across the top teams, Kingambit was the clearest recurring threat. It appeared on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place teams, always with Defiant, Adamant, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, and Protect somewhere in the set. Black Glasses showed up on both BentoRS’s and KNJMAX’s Kingambit, while PequenoRei1 used Life Orb.
Basculegion also had a strong showing, appearing on both DonVGC’s winning team and KNJMAX’s 4th place team, with Last Respects, Wave Crash, and Aqua Jet shared between the two. Sinistcha was another major support pick, used by DonVGC and BentoRS in the top 3, both with Hospitality, Bold, Rage Powder, Trick Room, and Matcha Gotcha. Eternal Flower Floette appeared on the 1st and 3rd place teams as a Floettite user with Flower Veil, Calm Mind, and Protect.
Item trends were similarly concentrated. Sitrus Berry appeared on Incineroar, Farigiraf, and Basculegion within the top 4, while Focus Sash was used on Hisuian Arcanine, Maushold, and Lycanroc Dusk. The top cut also featured multiple forms of disruption and positioning, including Fake Out, Rage Powder, Follow Me, Parting Shot, Tailwind, and Trick Room.
