Noktuska’s winning team was built around flexible weather pressure and strong defensive support. Pelipper brought Drizzle, Tailwind, Wide Guard, and a Sitrus Berry, giving the team both speed control and protection from spread damage. That paired naturally with Basculegion, whose Choice Scarf, Adaptability, and attacks like Wave Crash, Last Respects, Flip Turn, and Aqua Jet gave the team immediate physical pressure without needing setup.
The special side was just as important. Venusaur used Venusaurite with Chlorophyll and carried Sleep Powder, Earth Power, Sludge Bomb, and Protect, giving Noktuska a disruptive attacker that could threaten status while still trading damage. Archaludon was the long-game piece, using Leftovers and Stamina with Electro Shot, Dragon Pulse, Flash Cannon, and Protect. Grimmsnarl rounded out the structure with Light Clay, Prankster, Spirit Break, Parting Shot, Reflect, and Light Screen, making the team harder to break through while its attackers cycled pressure. Charizard with Charizardite Y, Heat Wave, Solar Beam, Weather Ball, and Protect added another high-damage special attacker and gave the team a second major Weather Ball user alongside Pelipper.
Across the top cut of standings, Charizard was the clearest headline pick, appearing on each of the top three teams.
