| Place | Player | Record | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | ChwarVGC | 6-1-0 | Raichu / Staraptor / Ceruledge / Milotic / Meowscarada / Alolan Ninetales |
| 2 | InterCharismatic | 5-2-0 | Pyroar / Tsareena / Talonflame / Diggersby / Ninetales / Eternal Flower Floette |
| 3 | The_Urban_Ranger | 4-2-0 | Raichu / Staraptor / Alolan Ninetales / Meowscarada / Milotic / Ceruledge |
| 4 | HazeXyenos | 3-3-0 | Klefki / Froslass / Ceruledge / Overqwil / Sneasler / Meowstic |
ChwarVGC’s winning team was built around a very defined support-and-pressure core. Raichu held Raichunite Y with Lightning Rod and carried Fake Out, Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, and Protect, giving the team immediate disruption and electric redirection utility. Staraptor added Staraptite, Intimidate, and a straightforward attacking set of Brave Bird and Close Combat, with Roost and Protect to keep it active longer.
The defensive backbone came from Milotic and Alolan Ninetales. Milotic used Leftovers with Competitive, Muddy Water, Hypnosis, Coil, and Recover, creating a bulky win condition that could punish opposing stat drops while threatening accuracy pressure and sleep. Alolan Ninetales carried Light Clay with Blizzard, Freeze-Dry, Aurora Veil, and Protect, giving the team a clear screen mode. Notably, ChwarVGC’s Alolan Ninetales was Snow Cloak, while The_Urban_Ranger’s otherwise similar version used Snow Warning.
The rest of the team rounded out the pressure plan. Ceruledge used Colbur Berry, Flash Fire, Bitter Blade, Shadow Sneak, Bulk Up, and Protect, offering priority and setup potential. Meowscarada brought Focus Sash, Overgrow, Flower Trick, Knock Off, Sucker Punch, and Protect, adding fast physical offense and item disruption. The six combined Fake Out, Intimidate, Aurora Veil, recovery, priority, and setup without leaning on a single attacker.
The most obvious trend was the overlap between first and third. ChwarVGC and The_Urban_Ranger used the same six Pokemon: Raichu, Staraptor, Alolan Ninetales, Meowscarada, Milotic, and Ceruledge. Even the items and moves were nearly identical across those teams, with Raichunite Y, Staraptite, Light Clay, Focus Sash, Leftovers, and Colbur Berry all repeated.
Ceruledge also appeared on three of the top four teams. ChwarVGC and The_Urban_Ranger used Colbur Berry Bulk Up sets with Bitter Blade and Shadow Sneak, while HazeXyenos ran Life Orb with Bitter Blade, Shadow Claw, Psych Up, and Substitute. Focus Sash was another recurring item, appearing on Meowscarada for first and third, Talonflame for second, and Sneasler for fourth. Protect was widespread across the top teams, while Fake Out appeared on Raichu, Sneasler, and Meowstic.
InterCharismatic’s runner-up team stood apart with Pyroar, Tsareena, Talonflame, Diggersby, Ninetales, and Eternal Flower Floette, including Pyroarite, Floettite, Choice Scarf Ninetales with Drought, and Talonflame with Tailwind. HazeXyenos brought the most distinct fourth-place build, featuring multiple Psych Up users in Klefki, Froslass, and Ceruledge.
Takeaway for ladder players: the best-performing teams here prioritized flexible disruption, repeated Protect usage, and resilient setup paths over one-dimensional offense.
