Pokemon Champions FAQ
Is Pokemon Champions free to play?
Yes. Pokemon Champions is free-to-start on Nintendo Switch and mobile. Ranked battles, recruiting from the Roster Ranch and Victory Points are free; the battle pass and memberships are optional.
Is Pokemon Champions pay-to-win?
Mostly no. Competitive Pokemon are recruited with Victory Points earned by battling, and paid options do not directly buy power. A few Pokemon require transfers from other games via Pokemon HOME.
Can you trade Pokemon in Pokemon Champions?
There is no in-game trading. The only way to bring outside Pokemon in is transferring them through Pokemon HOME, and transfers are one-way into Champions.
What are Stat Points (SP)?
Stat Points replace EVs and IVs. Every Pokemon distributes 66 points with a maximum of 32 per stat, so builds are quick to plan and can be freely redistributed.
Does Pokemon Champions have Mega Evolution or Terastal?
Mega Evolution is the only special battle mechanic, including 21 Champions-exclusive Mega forms. There is no Terastallization, Dynamax or Z-Moves.
